Path/Alexandria House

People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) and Alexandria House provide transitional housing for people in need. However, they do more than just provide emergency shelter; they also help their residents acquire permanent housing, financial stability, and better mental and physical health.

Both organizations run volunteer-cooking programs that Swipe Out Hunger team members regularly participate in. The members go to either site and cook sustainable, nutritious meals for the people there (women and children at Alexandria House and veterans at PATH’s site). This gives residents a break from at least one of their responsibilities and team members the chance to directly connect with individuals in need.
